Uber Freight partners with Nova Ukraine on emergency relief efforts
Problem
After receiving millions of dollars of donations overnight, Nova Ukraine needed to scale their operations to meet the tidal wave of demand for goods, such as first-aid kits, personal protective equipment, medical supplies and more. The team was met with delays in getting supplies shipped, as several organizations and efforts were trying to get shipments out as quickly as possible. Nova Ukraine needed to prioritize an efficient logistics strategy to ensure goods were delivered to warehouses, airports, hospitals, and relief centers seamlessly.
Solution
Nova Ukraine knew they needed to ship goods whenever capacity was available, even if it wasn’t a full truck load. Enter Uber Freight. Our less-than-truckload (LTL) offering gave Nova Ukraine a way to book loads almost immediately, without having to worry about time delays or truck load requirements. As a result, the group was able to ship relief goods from places like South Carolina to New Jersey, or a hospital in Iowa to Chicago, where the goods were then shipped overseas to the hands of Ukrainian civilians.
Benefits
Through Uber Freight’s LTL solution, organizations like Nova Ukraine have a simple and flexible way to move loads, reduce freight costs, and easily create, view, and pay for shipments directly from its shipper platform. Nova Ukraine hauled supplies across 1,700 miles nationwide using Uber Freight’s capabilities. In total, the group has shipped over 16,000 lbs of relief goods to Ukraine.
