1. Enter shipment details including origin and destination, mode type, dimensions, weight, and any special requirements or handling instructions.
2. Compare LTL and FTL quotes from carrier quotes. Select the quote that meets your requirements.
3. Click “Book Shipment.” Once you’ve chosen a carrier and rate, you can book the shipment directly through the platform.
Calculate freight costs in a flash
FTL rates are generated by Uber Freight’s robust machine learning pricing algorithms based on real-time data including market conditions like day of the week, time of day, weather, and seasonality.
LTL rates are typically calculated based on several factors such as: weight, distance, freight class, base rate, accessorial charges (e.g. lift gate), fuel surcharges, and minimum charges. Freight class is based on the shipment’s density, stowability, handling, and liability, also known as NMFC. There is a density calculator tool on the platform to help you estimate your shipment’s freight class.

Is there a fee for requesting a freight quote?
There is no fee to get a quote on Shipper Platform. You can sign up for an account for free and use the platform to get instant quotes for their shipments. You can view and compare pricing options provided by carriers within the Uber Freight network before booking a shipment.
Can I request a quote for different freight options (FTL, LTL, etc.)?
Yes, you can get a quote for FTL and LTL mode types on Shipper Platform based on shipment details and needs. Our account representatives can assist you with quotes for other mode types.
Are there additional charges or fees beyond the quoted price?
The quoted price you initially receive is based on the shipment information provided. However, there could be additional charges known as accessorial rates that might apply to your shipment if certain conditions or services, not accounted for in the quote, are required. These additional charges can include: Detention fee, layover charges, TONU, etc…
Can I get discounts for frequent shipments or bulk volumes?
Yes. In Shipper Platform, using our “lock rate” feature, you can lock in a rate for up to 3 months based on the frequency of a given TL shipment. Feel free to get in touch with one of our reps for more specific needs.

How far out can I receive a quote on the Shipper Platform?
For dry van and reefer FTL and LTL shipments you can quote up to 14 days out. For flatbed FTL shipments, you can quote up to 7 days out.
