Deliver 2025: Unveiling new platform features

September 16, 2025 / US

Showcasing how AI is already transforming shipper workflows across planning, management, and execution.

At Deliver 2025, Uber Freight unveiled new platform features designed to make logistics simpler, smarter, and more connected. Alongside these launches, the company showcased how intelligence, automation, and integration are reshaping freight operations today.

“From procurement to payment, shippers face constant complexity across the freight lifecycle. Through continued investment in platform innovation, Uber Freight delivers the tools, automations, and integrations that simplify the work and unlock meaningful outcomes such as faster decisions, smarter cost control, and more resilient supply chains,” said Steve Barber, VP of Product at Uber Freight.

Modernizing Freight Finance

Last year’s revamp of the Uber Freight TMS laid the foundation for a current, integrated system. Today, with the latest updates to TMS Financials, shippers gain greater visibility and control over their freight finances, giving teams the clarity and confidence to act faster.

For the first time, operators can track and manage the full order-to-cash journey directly within the TMS portal, eliminating the need for disconnected systems. A refreshed design, data-rich insights for faster decision-making, and new bulk tools reduce dispute resolution times by up to 20%, while streamlined workflows accelerate the end-to-end AR and AP process, giving shippers faster resolution and carriers the confidence of more efficient payment cycles. The result is greater control of freight spend and more accurate forecasting across the network.

This launch is another step toward Uber Freight’s broader vision for the TMS: not merely a system of record, rather a real-time logistics command center infused with AI. Built on a modern tech stack, TMS Financials is AI-ready. High-priority AI-native workflows (built from the ground up to leverage AI) will be introduced in the near future, enabling finance teams to resolve disputes faster, predict risks earlier, and manage freight spend with even greater precision.

Contract Procurement Scenario Analysis in Uber Freight Exchange

Within Uber Freight Exchange, the company’s contract freight procurement platform, shippers of all sizes will be able to harness advanced scenario analysis to evaluate multiple bid award strategies before finalizing procurement decisions. By choosing the right strategy for their network goals, they can transform slow and reactive contract freight procurement into faster, data-driven strategies that align awards to business goals.

Now, in just a few clicks rather than weeks of data collection and analysis, logistics teams can eliminate time consuming manual modeling with instant, side-by-side comparisons of cost, service, and carrier mix to help reduce costs and strengthen network reliability. They can also quantify projected savings, service improvements, and carrier performance before awarding contracts. To streamline execution, awards can be directly exported into any TMS, creating a closed loop between procurement planning, bidding, and optimization.

Building on the foundation of analysis and opportunities from
Insights AI, we envision customers surfacing recommendations around underperforming lanes, targeted mini-bids, carrier selection for annual RFPs, and other hidden optimization opportunities that might otherwise go overlooked and underleveraged. For shippers managing increasingly complex procurement cycles, combining opportunities from Insights AI with the speed and precision of Uber Freight Exchange will help drive more agility, smarter execution, and the ability to adapt without sacrificing efficiency or reliability.

Agentic AI in Action

At Uber Freight, AI is designed to complement human expertise, providing intelligence to guide decisions and automate repeatable tasks. While generative AI enables shippers to query data and receive proactive recommendations, our agentic AI layer goes further by taking real-world action across the shipment lifecycle.

Already, these systems are driving measurable results for customers:

  • Automating thousands of scheduling tasks daily, cutting scheduling times by up to 38% and reducing costly reschedules by a third.
  • Capturing arrival and departure times from carrier emails, reducing overdue load statuses by 15% and cutting delay durations by nearly 80%.
  • Detecting and correcting PRO number errors in LTL shipments, and automatically correcting data to shipper systems, for more accurate ETAs and fewer delays.

These are just a few examples among dozens of agents executing tasks every day across scheduling, tracking, payments, and more. For shippers, the payoff is tangible: better visibility, fewer service issues, lowered costs, and less manual busywork. By eliminating repetitive tasks, AI assistance frees logistics teams to focus on exceptions, strategy, and customer priorities.

The Bigger Picture: A Unified Logistics Platform

These updates are part of a bigger vision: a logistics platform where intelligence, automation, and human expertise work together across the entire freight journey. From transportation management and freight procurement software to always-on and embedded AI, Uber Freight is connecting planning, management, and execution within one ecosystem. For shippers, that means faster decisions, greater visibility, and more resilient networks, all powered by technology that’s designed to adapt as supply chains evolve.
